One of the most prescient philosophers of our time nailed the nature of what we are now confronting in1988: "Democracy cannot live without the truth. It commits suicide if invaded by falsehood." Jean-Francois Revel's writings are like an immunity boost against the flood of lies and deceit that is washing over us more and more. Think of his work as a life preserver.

They/we were fascinated by your statements regarding the
need for a new language and understanding the impacts of
climate change. Of course a person or 2 wanted to blame
Trump for everything but that got us into Hate.
Then, not to put words in your mouth, I assured them you
would be writing about hate in the near future along with our
personal responsibility to the planet and the conundrum of…I have reasons for my consumptive life style but YOU should change.
